Meet Adrienne Forney
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor & Certified Anger Management Specialist
Adrienne Forney earned her Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2014. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor and Certified Anger Management Specialist, she has spent years helping individuals identify the thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences that influence how they respond to difficult situations.
Throughout her professional career, Adrienne has worked with clients experiencing anger management concerns in addition to stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, family conflict, communication challenges, and problems with emotional regulation. Her clinical background provides her with a deeper understanding of how emotions, thought patterns, triggers, past experiences, and learned behaviors can influence a person's response to conflict and frustration.
"Anger itself is not necessarily the problem. Anger is an emotion that can communicate that something feels wrong, unfair, threatening, frustrating, or overwhelming. The challenge is learning how to recognize anger early and respond to it without allowing it to negatively affect relationships, employment, family life, decision-making, or personal well-being."
Our Purpose
Why The Reset Method Was Created
The Reset Method was created to provide individuals with a structured, supportive, and educational approach to anger management. Rather than simply telling participants to "calm down" or "control their anger," the program focuses on helping them understand why they respond the way they do and what they can do differently moving forward.
Through the 12-week anger management program, participants have an opportunity to identify their personal triggers, examine patterns of thinking and behavior, improve emotional awareness, strengthen communication skills, develop healthier coping strategies, and practice techniques for responding more effectively during stressful or emotionally charged situations.
The Reset Method Mission
"Our mission is to provide accessible, respectful, and practical anger-management education that empowers individuals to understand their emotional triggers, regulate difficult emotions, communicate effectively, and make healthier decisions. Through structured virtual instruction, guided self-reflection, and skill-building exercises, we help participants develop tools that support personal accountability, stronger relationships, and lasting positive change."
The Reset Method Mission
Our vision is to create a supportive learning environment in which individuals can transform anger into greater self-awareness, emotional control, healthy communication, and meaningful personal growth.
